Job description

About Meridia

Accurate farm and traceability data are critical for businesses to comply with ever-stricter compliance regulations and deliver upon sustainability commitments. At the same time, most smallholders continue to struggle to earn a living income, fueling the deforestation and biodiversity crisis. Reliable field data is needed to drive the transformation toward confronting these challenges.

That’s where Meridia comes in. Since 2015, Meridia offers field data solutions for smallholder supply chains to accelerate the achievement of full traceability in supply chains, enabling living income, and supporting regenerative agriculture, currently in Ghana, Ivory Coast and Indonesia.
See https://www.meridia.land for more information on our work.

The Role

The Research & Data Intern will primarily assist the Project Lead in conducting primary and secondary research, gathering and analysing qualitative and quantitative data, and transforming data insights into actionable products such as roadmaps or trainings.

The focus of this internship will be twofold:

The Research & Data Intern should be able to identify and use sources of information, research frameworks, and data analysis methods that allow them to deliver critical and high quality work.

What you will learn

All these skills are transferable into other future opportunities and roles. By working with Meridia, the Research & Data Intern will learn about (1) smallholder data management, (2) supply chain traceability, (3) regulations on responsible supply chain management, and how these are relevant to broader sustainable development agendas.
